Florida State Football Cancels 2025 Spring Showcase

Florida State University announced that it will not hold its traditional Spring Showcase in 2025 due to ongoing renovations at Doak Campbell Stadium. Head coach Mike Norvell confirmed during a virtual event that the decision was made to maximize the 15 spring practices allowed, as moving the event off-campus was deemed impractical due to NCAA rules and scheduling constraints. The showcase, typically a public event marking the end of spring practice, has been replaced with additional practice time this year. Norvell emphasized the importance of preparation and establishing a winning identity, especially with 31 newcomers and a revamped coaching staff. The Seminoles are set to debut their new look against Alabama on August 30, 2025, as they aim to integrate new offensive and defensive schemes. Although disappointed about the showcase cancellation, Norvell remains focused on the team's development during the spring period.
