ICE Dismantles Nebraska Human Trafficking Ring Rescues 27 Including 10 Children

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recently dismantled a large human trafficking ring operating out of motels and eyebrow salons in the Omaha, Nebraska metro area, rescuing 27 victims, including 10 children under the age of 12. Victims were found packed into cockroach-infested rooms with no basic sanitation and were subjected to sex trafficking and drug trafficking. Five illegal aliens of Indian nationality have been charged with multiple federal offenses related to labor and sex trafficking and harboring undocumented migrants, with ICE placing immigration detainers on them to prevent release after their criminal cases. An additional 14 illegal immigrants, including individuals with criminal records such as Guillermo Infante Arevalo from Mexico, were taken into custody. Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin emphasized the Trump administration's commitment to prosecuting traffickers to the fullest extent of the law. Law enforcement also seized over $565,000 in cash and illicit drugs during the operation.
