Norwegian Teen Arrested with Guns in Huddersfield Hotel
Johannes Kongsnes Natland, an 18-year-old Norwegian, is under investigation by counter-terrorism police after being arrested on March 19 in a Huddersfield hotel with two firearms, including a black Luger 9mm semi-automatic pistol and a revolver. He faces charges of conspiracy to murder, possession of prohibited firearms, and possession of ammunition without a firearm certificate. The West Yorkshire Police's specialist firearms officers conducted the arrest and seized the weapons from Natland's hotel room. Although the investigation involves international inquiries and is being handled by Counter Terrorism Policing, it is currently not classified as a terrorist-related case. Natland is in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Old Bailey on Friday. The investigation is supported by North East Counter Terrorism Policing and West Yorkshire Police.
