Multiple Lincoln Crimes Involve Theft, Shots Fired Investigations

Lincoln Police are investigating multiple crimes including identity theft, vehicle break-ins, and a vehicle and handgun theft. In one case, a suspect attempted to withdraw $9,000 using stolen identity at a bank near 49th and O Street but was stopped by vigilant bank staff. Two vehicles were broken into at Holmes Lake dog park, with purses stolen leading to attempted identity theft and unauthorized bank withdrawal attempts. Additionally, a white 2018 Hyundai Tucson containing $10,000 worth of tools and a 9mm Sig Sauer handgun was stolen near 38th and F Streets, with shattered glass found at the scene. Police are also probing a shooting incident near 40th and Randolph Streets where eight spent 9mm shell casings were found, although no injuries or damage were reported.
