Talent Agent Don Buchwald Dies at 88

Don Buchwald, renowned talent agent and founder of Buchwald & Associates, passed away at the age of 88 from natural causes at his Massachusetts home. Known for representing Howard Stern, who affectionately dubbed him 'Superagent,' Buchwald brokered a landmark deal for Stern worth approximately $90 million annually with SiriusXM. He started his agency in 1977 and expanded it bi-coastally, now employing over 130 staff across various entertainment sectors. His daughters, Julia and Laura, praised their father's legacy, with Julia vowing to continue the agency's success in his honor. Buchwald is remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for his personal generosity and commitment to philanthropy. He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Maggie, and his two daughters.
