Original Willy Wonka actors Julie Dawn Cole and Paris Themmen are set to participate in a live stage reading of Willy's Candy Spectacular, a musical parody inspired by the disastrous Willy Wonka exhibit in Glasgow earlier this year. The show, featuring a satirical take on the failed immersive experience, will include Kirsty Paterson, known as the 'Sad Oompa Loompa' from the original event, alongside other notable cast members like Eric Petersen and Wilkie Ferguson III. Produced by Richard Kraft, the musical has garnered attention for its creative team and the release of original songs ahead of its live performance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The event in Glasgow, advertised as a magical experience, turned out to be underwhelming, sparking comparisons to a meth lab and prompting parents to demand refunds. Cole and Themmen will serve as narrators, with Cole leading the production from August 9th to 18th and Themmen taking over from August 19th to 26th.
