Renato Moicano replaces Tsarukyan for UFC 311 title fight

Arman Tsarukyan has withdrawn from his highly anticipated title fight against Islam Makhachev at UFC 311 due to a back injury sustained while cutting weight, as confirmed by UFC CEO Dana White. In his place, Renato Moicano, who was originally scheduled to face Beneil Dariush, will step in to challenge Makhachev on short notice. This unexpected change marks another disruption for Makhachev, who previously faced a similar situation when Alexander Volkanovski replaced Charles Oliveira last year. The co-main event will still feature Merab Dvalishvili defending his bantamweight title against Umar Nurmagomedov. Despite the setback for Tsarukyan, who had been on a winning streak, the UFC is moving forward with the card, albeit with a notable adjustment to its main event lineup. The event is set to take place at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
