Bengals, Hamilton County seek $350 million for Paycor Stadium renovations

The Cincinnati Bengals and Hamilton County are requesting $350 million from the State of Ohio to fund renovations at Paycor Stadium, which is projected to cost around $830 million. This request comes as part of a comprehensive renovation plan intended to sustain the stadium, which has received over $240 million in investments over the past six years. The proposal also includes a $500 million development initiative near The Banks and significant improvements within the stadium itself, such as new clubs and an indoor practice facility. Despite discussions about a potential dome for the stadium, county officials have expressed skepticism about its practicality and high costs. Commissioner Denise Driehaus emphasized the need for state support, especially as funding appears to favor the Cleveland Browns. The Bengals' lease is set to expire in 2026, prompting urgency in the request for state funding.
