Man Charged with Attempted Murder of Ex-Wife

Pedro Nunez, a 47-year-old man from Miami, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting his ex-wife multiple times during an argument at her home in Kendall. The incident occurred early Sunday morning, with the victim suffering critical injuries from gunshot wounds to her torso and extremities. A nearby resident discovered the bloodied scene and alerted the police, who found the woman in her bedroom. While she was able to identify Nunez as the shooter, he later surrendered to Hialeah police and confessed to the crime, stating he shot her four times. Nunez is currently being held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. The victim is in critical but stable condition and had undergone emergency surgery.
