Don Raleigh named Rogers State University president

Dr. Don Raleigh, currently the Dean of the School of Education at Liberty University and former Pryor Public Schools superintendent, has been selected as the next president of Rogers State University (RSU) in Claremore, Oklahoma. His appointment, which follows a national search, is pending final approval by the University of Oklahoma Board of Regents at their June meeting, with Raleigh expected to begin his term on June 1. Raleigh brings extensive experience in educational leadership, including 13 years as superintendent and recognition as Oklahoma Superintendent of the Year. Community welcome events for Dr. Raleigh and his wife are scheduled in Claremore, Pryor, and Bartlesville. The Board of Regents praised Raleigh's integrity, leadership, and strong connections within Oklahoma's education community, expressing confidence in his ability to lead RSU into its next chapter. Dr. Raleigh succeeds Larry Rice, who retired after 16 years as president, with Mark Rasor having served as interim president since Rice’s retirement.
