Sam Tomkins Extends Contract with Catalans Dragons

Sam Tomkins has confirmed his return to play for the Catalans Dragons in 2025, extending his career after initially retiring following the 2023 Grand Final loss. The club's president, Bernard Guasch, announced that Tomkins feels physically fit and will prepare for the season, likely participating in 15 to 18 matches. Despite a hamstring injury during his return in 2024, Tomkins played six matches, but the Dragons missed the playoffs. His extension means he will enter his 18th season, joining a team that will also feature NRL recruit Luke Keary. Similarly, Wigan Warriors veteran Willie Isa has signed a one-year extension to play through 2025, entering his tenth season with the club after recovering from a serious ankle injury. Both players are expected to bring valuable experience and leadership to their respective teams in the upcoming season.
