Native Artists and Lectures Celebrate Indigenous Culture

Native artist Jeremy Frey has gained prominence by winning major awards at both the Heard Museum Indian Fair & Market and the Santa Fe Indian Market, highlighting his journey to mainstream recognition. Judy Frater, a textile expert, founded Somaiya Kala Vidya in India to empower artisans and preserve traditional arts, and has recently published a book detailing her experiences. The Santa Fe Indian Market continues to celebrate Native art, showcasing diverse works and honoring artists such as Caleb Hoffman for his basketry.
