Tulane Green Wave Baseball Sweeps Loyola Marymount Doubleheader

The Tulane Green Wave baseball team (6-1) bounced back from their first loss of the season to sweep a doubleheader against Loyola Marymount (5-3) on Saturday, winning 14-4 and 10-0 at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium. In Game 1, Tulane showcased a strong offensive performance with 13 hits, highlighted by Gavin Schulz's home run and four RBIs, while Blaise Wilcenski earned the win with three innings of scoreless relief. Game 2 saw a dominant pitching display from Trey Cehajic, who allowed just two hits over five innings, supported by a combined shutout from five relievers. Michael Lombardi and Andrew McKenna each contributed three hits across the doubleheader. This sweep improved Tulane's all-time record against LMU to 3-3 and showcased the depth of their batting lineup, with contributions from multiple players. Tulane's next matchup is against Nicholls on Tuesday in Thibodaux.
