Four Huntington Beach Men Arrested for September Anaheim Murder

Four Huntington Beach men—Arnaldo Malaca, Michael Cardoso, Roberto Lopez, and Jesus Torres-Martinez—were arrested in connection with the September 15, 2024, murder of 29-year-old Rozzalle Hellens outside the Longboard Restaurant & Bar in downtown Huntington Beach. Hellens was found with significant injuries around 2 a.m. and later pronounced dead at the hospital. The suspects face multiple charges including murder, conspiracy to commit murder, criminal street gang activity, and accessory to murder; Malaca also faces charges related to carrying a concealed firearm. The arrests followed an extensive investigation involving the Huntington Beach Police Department's Major Crimes Unit, SWAT, and Crisis Negotiation Team. Police have not disclosed the motive or whether Hellens was acquainted with the suspects, and the investigation remains ongoing.
