Swift Fans Hit by Scams, Lawsuits Against Ticketmaster

Taylor Swift fans have been significantly impacted by ticket scams and alleged price gouging by Ticketmaster and Live Nation. In Canada, a family lost over $15,600 due to a scam involving fake tickets for Swift's Toronto 'Eras Tour' show, highlighting the widespread issue of fraudulent ticket sales. Similarly, hundreds of fans have filed a lawsuit against Ticketmaster and Live Nation, accusing them of colluding with venues to inflate ticket prices, violating antitrust laws. This legal action follows multiple instances of ticketing disruptions and inflated resale prices during Swift’s concert tours. Additionally, a mother in Ontario was scammed out of $1,800 while trying to purchase tickets for her daughter's birthday, but later received genuine tickets from the concert's presenting company, Rogers. The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre reports that 190 people have been scammed this year while attempting to acquire tickets to Swift's shows.
