New Doctor Who Spinoff Announced at Comic-Con

At San Diego Comic-Con, the BBC and Disney Branded Television announced a new Doctor Who spinoff titled The War Between The Land And The Sea. This five-part series will focus on UNIT as they confront a fearsome ancient species emerging from the ocean, marking the return of the classic villains, the Sea Devils. The cast includes returning actors Jemma Redgrave and Alexander Devrient, alongside Russell Tovey and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. The show is created by Russell T Davies and co-written with Pete McTighe, who promises a thrilling drama that will shake The Whoniverse to its foundations. Filming is set to begin in August, and the series is expected to deliver a gripping narrative in the absence of the Doctor. With support from the Welsh Government, the production highlights the continued expansion of the Doctor Who franchise.
