Texas Burger Chains Donate Proceeds for Central Flood Relief
In response to the devastating flash floods in Central Texas and the Texas Hill Country that have claimed over 100 lives, several businesses and nonprofits across Texas and beyond have launched fundraising efforts to support relief and recovery. Houston rap icon Bun B's Trill Burgers pledged to donate all profits from its two locations to flood relief efforts, highlighting the extensive rebuilding needed. Similarly, Curb Side Bistro in Odessa and Midland is hosting The Burger Relief, where 100% of proceeds from burger sales will be donated to the San Angelo and San Antonio Food Banks, encouraging donations of any amount. Austin's P. Terry's Burger Stand announced it will donate 100% of profits from all 36 locations on a designated day to the Austin Disaster Relief Network, joining other businesses such as Kendra Scott and Texas Roadhouse in contributing to relief funds and supply collections. In Kansas City, Disco Burger is raising funds through a special Texas-themed burger, with proceeds going to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, while Operation BBQ Relief is actively providing thousands of meals to affected communities. These efforts reflect a widespread community and business commitment to aid those impacted by the floods through donations, food, and essential services.
