Hampshire Hawks Sign Australian All-Rounder Hilton Cartwright for Vitality Blast

Australian all-rounder Hilton Cartwright has joined the Hampshire Hawks for the remainder of the Vitality Blast group stage, covering for overseas players Dewald Brevis and Lhuan-dre Pretorius, who have been called up to South Africa’s Test squad. Cartwright brings significant experience, having played 103 matches in Australia's Big Bash League with nearly 2,000 runs and seven half-centuries, and has previously featured in the Vitality Blast for Middlesex and Derbyshire. He has also played in The Hundred for the Oval Invincibles and the Champions League T20 for the Perth Scorchers. Hampshire's director of cricket, Giles White, described Cartwright as a dynamic addition to help the team push for the knockout stages. Cartwright will be available for six matches starting with the Hawks’ fixture against Sussex Sharks at Hove on July 5, as the Hawks aim to qualify for Finals Day in September.
