Kyle Clifford, the prime suspect in the crossbow murders of BBC racing commentator John Hunt's wife and daughters, has reportedly left himself paralysed from a self-inflicted wound after shooting himself in the upper body. The 26-year-old was arrested after a police manhunt that followed the discovery of Carol Hunt, 61, and her daughters Hannah, 28, and Louise, 25, at their home in Bushey, Hertfordshire, on July 9. It is alleged that Clifford had previously taken the women hostage before they were found fatally injured. He was located in a cemetery where he shot himself just before police apprehended him. Despite regaining consciousness, police are unable to question him until he receives medical clearance, and the clock on his custody time will not start until then.
