Amber Alert: Marion County Teen Missing, Possibly Kidnapped

An Amber Alert was issued Sept. 25 for 17-year-old Caden Speight after deputies responded about 4:10–4:15 p.m. to a shooting in the 12800 block of SW Highway/County Road 484 in Dunnellon and found his vehicle but not him. Authorities say Speight is believed to have been shot, is wounded, and may have been kidnapped following the incident. He is described as a white male, about 6 feet tall and 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing a T‑shirt and blue jeans. Law enforcement says he may be traveling with four unknown males, possibly Hispanic, in a light-colored van, and urges the public not to approach and to call 911 or the Marion County Sheriff's Office and Florida Department of Law Enforcement tip lines with any information.
