Homewood Brewing Company Opens in Honor of Juice WRLD

Homewood Brewing Company, founded by Carmela Wallace, mother of late rapper Juice WRLD, officially opened on October 18, 2024, in Homewood, Illinois, serving as a tribute to her son. The brewpub features a menu inspired by Juice WRLD's family's Creole cooking, led by Chef Robert Lauderdale, and brewing operations are overseen by Juice WRLD's brother, Brian Wallace. The opening ceremony included a performance by the Homewood-Flossmoor High School marching band, playing Juice WRLD's hit 'Lucid Dreams,' highlighting his deep connection to the community where he grew up. A portion of proceeds from the brewery will benefit Live Free 999, a charity established by Wallace to support mental health and addiction programs. The establishment aims to create a space for gathering and healing, as described by Brian Wallace. Wallace expressed her desire to give back to the community that meant so much to her son, emphasizing the brewery as a testament to enduring love and legacy.
