Two Tickets Split $1.8B Powerball Jackpot Missouri, Texas
The Powerball jackpot reached nearly $1.8 billion, the second-largest U.S. lottery prize ever, and was split between two winning tickets sold in Missouri and Texas. Each winner can choose between a lump sum payment of approximately $410 million or an annuity payout of about $893 million over 30 years. The Texas winning ticket was sold at Big's 103 convenience store in Fredericksburg, while the Missouri location has not been disclosed. Alongside the jackpot winners, many other players across multiple states, including Texas and Illinois, won significant prizes ranging from $1 million to $2 million. The jackpot resets to $20 million for the next drawing scheduled for Monday night. The odds of winning the jackpot were 1 in 292.2 million, and the Powerball continues to generate widespread excitement nationwide.
