Holiday Traditions Spread Cheer Nationwide

In Hudson Valley, NY, Volunteer New York! is organizing a Winter Package Delivery through DOROT, where volunteers deliver care packages and social visits to older adults. In Alaska, the Operation Santa Claus program, facilitated by the Alaska National Guard, brought gifts to the Tlingit community of Yakutat, using military transport to deliver joy amidst hardships from past snowfall. Meanwhile, a giant Santa statue in Mason, Michigan, is the centerpiece of a local tradition where volunteers respond to children's letters to Santa, maintaining the festive spirit. Santa Claus is also making appearances in Glendale for photos with children and in Newtown, PA, escorted by local fire rescue teams to bring Christmas cheer.
