Man Arrested for Gun Assault in Road Rage Incident

Kalvin Crump, a 23-year-old man from Petaluma, was arrested on Saturday after allegedly pointing a gun at another driver during a road rage incident in Santa Rosa. Witnesses reported the incident around 4:50 p.m. near West Third Street and Amador Drive, leading police to locate Crump's silver BMW shortly thereafter. Accompanying him were a woman and their 1-month-old child. A police K-9 detected a loaded .40 mm handgun, along with a magazine and ammunition, in a backpack in the vehicle. Crump faces multiple charges, including assault with a firearm and brandishing a gun at a vehicle, and was booked into Sonoma County Jail, while the mother and child were released at the scene.
