Trailer Released for Frontier Crucible Starring Armie Hammer

Frontier Crucible, a gritty Western directed by Travis Mills and adapted from Harry Whittington’s novel Desert Stake-Out, will be released in theaters and on digital platforms on Dec. 5, 2025. Produced by Dallas Sonnier and others, the film stars Armie Hammer alongside William H. Macy, Thomas Jane, Myles Clohessy and an ensemble cast. The story follows Merrick Beckford as he attempts to guide a wagon of medical supplies through Apache territory; after he and a trio of outlaws accidentally kill an Apache scout, brutal fights for survival erupt. A trailer released ahead of the film emphasizes violent, Bone Tomahawk–style frontier justice, tense standoffs and themes of redemption and endurance. Hammer’s return follows his 2021 career collapse amid multiple allegations of sexual misconduct — which he has denied and which did not lead to criminal charges — and he has said he is content working on smaller, lower‑budget projects for now.
