Lilo & Stitch Hits $1B Amid Streaming Shifts
Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch has become the first Hollywood film of 2025 to surpass $1 billion at the box office and is now available for home viewing. The original 2005 and 2007 Fantastic Four films are now streaming on Disney+ as Marvel prepares for a franchise reboot. Hulu will soon add Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights, while HBO Max is seeing a surge in views for the 2018 action-horror Upgrade. The Lord of the Rings trilogy will leave Prime Video at the end of July. Netflix's most-viewed original film this year is Back in Action, but Despicable Me 4 holds the record as the most-watched film overall on the platform. There is still no confirmation of a sequel for Lilo & Stitch.
