Liverpool Releases Unseen Diogo Jota Interview Before Death

Liverpool has released a new in-house documentary featuring never-before-seen footage of Diogo Jota, recorded shortly before his tragic death in a car accident alongside his brother Andre Silva in July. In the documentary, Jota reflects on winning the 2024/25 Premier League title, calling it a "remarkable achievement" and "a moment I will cherish forever," highlighting his significant role in Liverpool's first league triumph under new head coach Arne Slot. The club has paid tribute to Jota by retiring his number 20 shirt and wearing a special 'Forever 20' emblem during the 2025/26 season. The documentary also features various players, including Alisson Becker and Mohamed Salah, celebrating the title and offering their reflections on the season and Jota's legacy. Jota and his brother were honored during the FA Community Shield match, although a minute of silence was unfortunately disrupted by some sections of opposing fans, an incident that Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk expressed disappointment over.
