Sweet Relief Launches Music Industry Mental Health Fundraiser with Coldplay, R.E.M., Nickelback Items

The Sweet Relief Musicians Fund has launched a fundraiser auction featuring signed memorabilia and experiences from notable artists such as Coldplay, R.E.M., Nickelback, Teddy Swims, and The Mars Volta to benefit Music's Mental Health Fund. This fund, a partnership between Sweet Relief and the mental health organization Backline, provides financial assistance to music industry professionals struggling with mental health issues, helping them access or continue therapy. A 2019 survey by Record Union found that 73% of independent musicians face mental illness, highlighting the critical need for such support. Auction items include a signed R.E.M. Rickenbacker guitar, signed Nickelback vinyl, VIP tickets to various shows, and signed instruments from multiple artists. Sweet Relief's Executive Director Aric Steinberg emphasized the importance of this initiative in supporting the music community's mental health needs.
