Outlander Prequel Premieres August 8, 2025 on Starz

Starz has announced that 'Outlander: Blood of My Blood,' the prequel to the original 'Outlander' series, will premiere on August 8, 2025, with weekly episodes on Fridays. The series explores the origins of Jamie Fraser's parents, Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy), in 18th-century Scotland, and Claire Beauchamp's parents, Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine), during World War I. Unlike the main series, this prequel is not based on existing Diana Gabaldon novels. The show features an ensemble cast, including Tony Curran, Rory Alexander, Séamus McLean Ross, and Sam Retford, expanding on family and clan dynamics. Teaser posters and artwork released by Starz highlight the romantic and dramatic tone as the story shifts between the Scottish Highlands and WWI battlefields. Executive producers include Matthew B.
