Flash Flood Warnings Expand to Texas, Multiple States
The National Weather Service has issued flash flood warnings across several states following heavy thunderstorms, with rainfall totals reaching up to 3 inches in some regions. West Virginia is under warning in multiple counties, including Cabell, Clay, and Fayette, where roads, streams, and low-lying areas are at risk. Licking County, Ohio, and surrounding communities such as Newark, Granville, and Heath have also been affected, with additional rainfall expected. In South Carolina, Lexington and Saluda counties face flash flooding, including along Interstate 20. Newly added to the affected regions is Dallas County, Texas, where urban areas and roadways are at risk following 1 to 2 inches of rain. Authorities continue to urge residents in all impacted areas to avoid driving through flooded roads, seek higher ground, and follow safety guidelines.
