Fraser T. Smith To Receive 2025 BMI President’s Award

Fraser T. Smith, a Grammy, Brit, and Ivor Novello Award-winning British producer and songwriter, will receive the prestigious BMI President’s Award at the 2025 BMI London Awards on September 29 at The Dorchester. Smith is celebrated for his extensive three-decade career and collaborations with globally renowned artists such as Adele, Drake, Sam Smith, Stormzy, and Craig David, contributing to multiple No. 1 singles in both the UK and US. The ceremony will honor British and European songwriters and publishers whose work dominated US streaming, radio, film, and television over the past year. Smith began his career as a session guitarist in the 1990s before becoming a sought-after producer and songwriter, with notable achievements including a Grammy for Adele's album "21" and critical acclaim for his solo project Future Utopia. BMI President and CEO Mike O’Neill praised Smith as one of the UK's most influential creators whose genre-spanning work has shaped modern music. Smith joins previous esteemed recipients of the BMI President’s Award, including Taylor Swift, P!nk, and Luis Fonsi.
