Mickey Madden Faces Assault, Abuse Claims From Wife

Former Maroon 5 bassist Mickey Madden has been accused by his wife, Catherine Blair Bowman, of physically assaulting her on July 21 after she confronted him about allegedly sending sexually explicit messages to teenage girls, some involving rape fantasies and payment for sexual content. Bowman says she was alerted to Madden's behavior by a teenage girl and claims he attempted to delete evidence from his phone before the confrontation escalated. Court documents allege Madden assaulted Bowman multiple times, both inside and outside their home, causing her trauma and fear. Bowman provided text messages, a handwritten apology, and security footage as evidence, and claims Madden has a history of abuse and emotional harm. Madden has reportedly apologized and entered sex addiction rehab, while Bowman has been granted a temporary restraining order and is seeking continued legal protection and financial independence. A hearing is scheduled for August, and Madden, who left Maroon 5 in 2020 after a previous domestic violence arrest, has not publicly commented on the allegations.
