STARLUX to Start Phoenix-Taipei Flights in 2025
STARLUX Airlines plans to launch the first-ever nonstop flights between Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and Taipei Taoyuan Airport in early 2025, pending government approval. The service will operate three to four times weekly using 306-seat Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The new route, projected to generate an economic impact of $100 million annually for Arizona, is largely driven by major investments from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) in Phoenix. Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego highlighted the route’s significance for the city’s emergence as an international hub and its strengthening ties with Taiwan. The flights are expected to boost both passenger and cargo traffic, particularly for the semiconductor industry. Phoenix will become STARLUX’s fifth U.S. destination and the first not already served by Taiwan's two other major carriers.
