Micah Handlogten returns for Gators vs. South Carolina

Micah Handlogten, the 7-foot-1 center for the No. 3 Florida Gators, announced he will return to play this season after recovering from a severe leg injury sustained during the SEC Tournament last March. His decision comes at a crucial time as the Gators face a series of injuries, including to star forward Alex Condon and shooting guard Alijah Martin. Handlogten expressed confidence in his readiness to contribute, stating, "I’m ready to get out and hoop for the Gators." Coach Todd Golden had previously indicated that Handlogten might not return this season, but the team's current needs prompted him to reconsider. Handlogten's return is expected to bolster Florida's lineup as they prepare to host South Carolina. The Gators are currently 21-3 and look to maintain their strong performance heading into the latter part of the season.
