Two Teens Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on I-195 Massachusetts

Two teenagers, Kevin Dos Santos Lopes, 19, of New Bedford, Massachusetts, and Amilton De Pina Semedo, 18, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, were killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 195 in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. The crash occurred near the Reed Road exit around 1:35 p.m. when their 2006 Chevrolet Equinox crashed, ejecting both occupants and dislodging the vehicle's engine. Both victims were rushed to a nearby hospital but were pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Authorities, including the Massachusetts State Police and the Bristol County District Attorney's Office, are investigating the incident, which is not deemed suspicious. The roadway was partially closed during the investigation, and a crane was used to remove the car from the scene. No cause of the crash has yet been determined.
