Ella Beatty to Star in Monster Season 4

Netflix's true crime anthology series 'Monster' will center its fourth season on the notorious Lizzie Borden case, with Ella Beatty portraying Borden, who was tried and acquitted for the 1892 axe murders of her father and stepmother in Massachusetts. Rebecca Hall will play Abby Borden, Lizzie's stepmother, while Vicky Krieps will portray Bridget Sullivan, the family maid. Production for the fourth season is scheduled to begin in the fall. The Lizzie Borden case has inspired previous adaptations in film and television, such as 'The Lizzie Borden Chronicles' and the film 'Lizzie.' Beatty, Hall, and Krieps have all previously collaborated with series creator Ryan Murphy. Earlier seasons of 'Monster' have covered cases including Jeffrey Dahmer, the Menendez brothers, and Ed Gein.
