After experiencing severe chest pains, he was diagnosed with a tear in his stomach lining, which led to emergency surgery to repair the injury and treat an infection in his bloodstream. Pintauro described the pain as 'the most excruciating' he has ever felt and praised the medical staff for their timely intervention, stating that he could have died if he had delayed seeking help. He is currently recovering, with tubes in place to manage stomach acids, and is unable to eat or drink for the next three days.
