One found dead in vehicle fire in Cromwell

On Sunday morning, a person was found deceased inside a vehicle that was fully engulfed in flames near Riverport Park at Frisbee Park in Cromwell, Connecticut. The Cromwell Police Department received multiple 911 calls reporting the fire around 6:35 a.m. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, but the sole occupant was discovered dead upon their arrival. Investigations are being conducted by the Cromwell Police Department's Detective Bureau, the Cromwell Fire Marshal’s Office, and the State of Connecticut’s Fire Marshal’s Office. Authorities are urging anyone with information related to this incident to contact Detective Perricone at the Cromwell Police Department. The identity of the deceased has not yet been disclosed.
