Hotel Workers Rescue Teen Girl from Kidnapper in Alabama

Stephen Ayers, a 46-year-old man, was arrested for allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting a teenage girl at a hotel in Dothan, Alabama. Hotel housekeepers intervened when they saw Ayers forcing the girl into his room, managing to rescue her before contacting the police. When officers arrived, Ayers fled but was apprehended after a brief pursuit. According to the police, Ayers had made unwanted sexual advances toward the victim, and after she rejected him, he forcibly pulled her into his room. Ayers has been charged with first-degree kidnapping and first-degree sexual abuse and is being held without bond at the Houston County Jail.
