Cybertruck Crash Kills Three College Students in Piedmont
A tragic crash in Piedmont, California, on November 27 resulted in the deaths of three recent high school graduates and left a fourth seriously injured. The California Highway Patrol determined that the accident, involving a Tesla Cybertruck driven by 19-year-old Soren Dixon, was caused by a combination of alcohol, drugs, and excessive speed. Dixon had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.195%, over double the legal limit, and tested positive for cocaine and methamphetamine, while his passengers, Jack Nelson and Krysta Tsukahara, also had substances in their systems. The vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a tree, subsequently catching fire, with all three fatalities attributed to asphyxia from smoke inhalation and significant burns. Jordan Miller, the fourth occupant, survived after being rescued from the wreckage but suffered major burns and internal injuries. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of impaired driving, particularly among young adults returning home for the holidays.
