Crown Raises 2025 EPS Guide, Projects Q4 Beat
Crown Holdings raised its 2025 adjusted EPS guidance to $7.70–$7.80 (from $7.10–$7.50) and forecast Q4 adjusted EPS of $1.65–$1.75, above Street estimates around $1.58–$1.59. The company reported Q3 revenue of about $3.2 billion, up roughly 4.2%, and adjusted EPS of $2.24, beating consensus by about 13%. Growth was driven by a 12% jump in European beverage can volumes that more than offset weaker demand in Asia and Latin America, which management attributed to sustainability trends, more off‑premises drinking and seasonal factors. Management raised full‑year profit guidance after stronger third‑quarter sales and cited rising aluminum‑can demand in Europe. Management expects nearly $1 billion in free cash flow for 2025. Shares rose on the news, though analysts say near‑term direction will hinge on upcoming management commentary and future estimate revisions.
