Multiple Men Arrested for Child Pornography in U.S. States

Multiple arrests have been made across the United States in 2025 involving individuals charged with possession and distribution of child pornography. In Illinois, David E. Edwards was arrested following an investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force after a cybertip led to the seizure of electronic devices. A 70-year-old man in Ocala, Florida, John David Roorda, was arrested after authorities found hundreds of files depicting the sexual abuse of children and animals on his computer hard drive. In Indiana, Brandon Shockley was charged with possession and dissemination of child pornography after a search warrant was executed by local police and the Indiana ICAC Task Force. Robert Rutherford-Sobol of Missouri was indicted for possession of child pornography after investigations linked him to repeated uploads of abusive images via an online platform. Additionally, Frank Lopez Jr., a 78-year-old from Bryan, Texas, was arrested for online solicitation and found in possession of 35 child pornography videos on his phone, resulting in his detention on substantial bonds. These cases highlight ongoing law enforcement efforts nationwide supported by cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to combat child exploitation.
