This initiative promises that backers will receive their products on time or receive a refund, provided the campaign meets specific eligibility criteria, including having a product in the final manufacturing stages and a proven successful track record on the platform. The program will only be available for select campaigns that undergo approval by Indiegogo's Trust and Safety team. Notably, funds from backers will be held until the product ships, ensuring that campaign operators do not receive payment until their obligations are fulfilled. This approach aims to enhance the credibility of campaigns while providing a safety net for backers, reflecting Indiegogo's ongoing efforts to foster a more reliable crowdfunding environment. The first campaign under this guarantee is the HoverAIR X1 PRO flying action cameras, which promises refunds if shipping is delayed past the agreed date.
