The 8th Women's Asian Champions Trophy will take place in Rajgir, Bihar, from November 11 to 20, 2024, marking the first time an international hockey tournament is hosted in the state. This event, organized by Hockey India in collaboration with the Bihar government, will be held at the new Rajgir Hockey Stadium and will feature top teams including defending champions India, as well as China, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, and Thailand. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed his excitement and commitment to provide hospitality to teams and fans, ensuring a successful event. Dato Fumio Ogura, President of the Asian Hockey Federation, praised Hockey India for their efforts, while Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey highlighted the significance of this historic occasion. The tournament follows India's successful title defense in the previous edition held in Ranchi, where they defeated Japan in the final.
