The survey, which queried 2,000 adults, revealed that 40% selected the 1980s hit, followed closely by The Pogues' 'Fairytale Of New York' and Wizzard's 'I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday,' both at 36%. Mariah Carey's 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' ranked third, while a tie for fourth included 'Silent Night' and Michael Buble's rendition of 'It’s Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas.' Huw Davies from the RPO noted the enduring popularity of both pop and traditional Christmas music in the UK, emphasizing that engagement with classical music peaks during this time of year.
