Idris Qayyum, a 19-year-old from West London, tragically died from a severe anaphylactic reaction after consuming a peanut-laced dessert during a holiday in Antalya, Turkey. Despite repeatedly assuring restaurant staff of his peanut allergy and confirming the dessert was safe using Google Translate, he suffered a fatal reaction shortly after eating. His devastated family is suing Love Holidays, the travel company that organized the trip, claiming they failed to provide accurate allergen information and adequate staff training on food safety. Ayeshah Bhatia, Idris's mother, expressed the heartbreak of losing her son under such circumstances, emphasizing that he took precautions to protect himself. The family hopes their legal action will lead to improved safety measures for individuals with food allergies traveling abroad.
