Kirby Air Riders Returns in 2025

After more than two decades, Kirby Air Ride is making a return with a sequel titled Kirby Air Riders, set for release on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025. The announcement during the Nintendo Direct revealed that Masahiro Sakurai, the original creator of Kirby and Super Smash Bros., will direct the game. Although the cinematic trailer showcased vibrant Kirbys and futuristic vehicles, no gameplay was shown. The game will maintain its signature simplified controls and automatic acceleration from the original. Bandai Namco Studios, known for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, is developing the game. Fans are eagerly anticipating more details in future Nintendo Directs, as the return of City Trial mode and other features have yet to be confirmed.
