In a recent interview, he revealed that he wished he would 'bleed out' after the incident, describing the profound internal changes it caused in him. Souza emphasized that he feels 'ruined' not in his career but in his sense of self, stating, 'the person I was just went away.' He expressed indifference towards Alec Baldwin, who was involved in the incident, and noted that the armorer responsible for the firearms received an appropriate sentence. Despite returning to complete filming on 'Rust', Souza mentioned that the original scenes involving the tragic event were completely scrapped. The case against Baldwin was dismissed mid-trial due to prosecution mishandling evidence, leaving Souza questioning the concept of justice in the aftermath of the tragedy.
