Eos Energy Plans $353M HQ Move, 735 Jobs to Pittsburgh

Eos Energy Enterprises is relocating its global headquarters from New Jersey to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as part of a $352.9 million investment that includes expanding its manufacturing operations and creating 735 new jobs while retaining 265 existing ones. The company will establish a 40,000-square-foot headquarters at Nova Place in Pittsburgh's North Shore by the second half of 2026 and lease a 432,000-square-foot facility in Marshall Township to increase production capacity to 8 gigawatt-hours annually. Supported by $22 million from Pennsylvania and $2 million from Allegheny County, this move highlights Pennsylvania's commitment to advancing energy independence and domestic manufacturing in the battery technology sector. Eos already operates two facilities in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, where it installed a new automated production line in 2024, and plans to strengthen partnerships with local universities like Carnegie Mellon University to support workforce development in robotics, AI, and engineering. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro praised the relocation as a major win for the state, emphasizing efforts to compete for and win major projects by investing in skilled workforce and energy technology.
