Iran Achieves Success at Paralympic Games

Iran celebrated a successful night at the Paris Paralympics, achieving its sixth gold medal through victories in sitting volleyball and shot put. The men's sitting volleyball team defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-1, marking their eighth Paralympic title. Additionally, Yasin Khosravi won gold in men's shot put F57 with a record throw of 15.96 meters, while Rouhollah Rostami set new world and Paralympic records by lifting 242 kg in men's 80kg para powerlifting. This success propelled Iran to 15th place in the overall medal standings, with 21 medals total. Coach Hadi Rezaei reflected on the journey of player Morteza Mehrzad, who overcame significant personal challenges to compete at this level.
